• For 3 days from the time of the accident, notify the Insurance Company about the accident at no. by phone: + 373 (22) 22 17 58 or by e-mail: despagubiri@asterra.md;
• Stay at the scene of the accident until the police arrive.
• Try to take all the necessary measures to save the vehicle, prevent and minimize its subsequent damage, as well as to eliminate the causes that contribute to the occurrence of additional damages;
• Immediately notify the competent bodies from the place of production of the insurance case (the police station, the road police station, the fire station, etc. at no. 112) and obtain confirmatory documents from them.
• Make statements in writing to the Insurer regarding the production of the insured case (except holidays and legal rest days):
• within 3 days - cases from the group "DAMAGES", "ACCIDENTS";
• within 24 hours - cases from "FURT" group.
• If the Insured is a legal person, then, when submitting the application, his representative must hold a power of attorney properly drawn up for the right to represent the Insured. If the case has taken place abroad, the terms mentioned above will be calculated from the day of return to the country, which must be documented;
• To present to the Insurer for examination the damaged vehicle, the additional equipment or their remains (until the repair) and to coordinate with it the subsequent actions for the settlement of damages;
• If the insurance case has happened outside the territory of the Republic of Moldova, you are obliged to notify the competent authorities at the place of the incident and obtain the supporting documents, as well as to notify the Insurer by post, fax or e-mail and follow its instructions;
• If, following the damage caused by the vehicle, it cannot be moved by the repairer (ie it needs repair at the place of damage), then you are further obliged to take measures to photograph the damaged vehicle, as well as to prepare a report for the examination and assessment of the damages in - an independent body of local expertise or SDT. The expenses for the photographing and the assessment of the damages, documented confirmed, will be reimbursed by the Insurer;
• To make available to the Insurer all the documents and evidence, as well as to communicate all the information necessary for the realization of the right of return to the person responsible for causing the damages.

In the case of minor damage to the vehicle, you can address the Insurance Company 2 times during the validity of the insurance contract to receive compensation, without the need to present documents from the competent bodies, provided that the amount of the damage does not exceed 5% of the value insured of the vehicle, but not more than 300/500 EUR / per case, unless the insurance contract provides otherwise.
